The Workplace Wellness Program at Cookeville Regional now offers group smoking cessation classes for the workplace. According to the American Lung Association, employers can save nearly $6,000 per year for every employee who quits smoking.
Offering a structured educational program for your employees who smoke is a win-win for both the company and the individual.
The program's curriculum is based on the American Lung Association's Freedom from Smoking. It helps participants to build strategies for managing stress, staying active and avoiding weight gain. Each participant will create their own plan and will choose their own personal quit date.
We bring the classes to you!
Held at your work site, the classes occur over a seven-week period and consists of eight classes (two classes the fourth week, which is the designated "quit week”). The cost per employee is $100 and includes a book with helpful information for each class.
For more information or to schedule classes at your workplace, contact CRMC Workplace Wellness at 931-783-2743.
Quit 4 Life also offers free classes for individuals who want to quit the tobacco habit in a more informal environment every Thursday at 6 p.m. in the hospital's Algood/Putnam Conference Room in the cafeteria.
