Cookeville Regional is always looking for ways to improve patient experiences. One of these is through our nurse navigator program.

Meet Christina Burgess
Imaging nurse navigator.
Christina Burgess, the imaging nurse navigator, coordinates additional imaging needed such as diagnostic and ultrasounds and ensures communication back to referring physicians.
She assists with biopsies in The Breast Center and coordinates care with Cancer Center Breast Navigator, Amy Ayers, once positive findings are discovered.
She also ensures reminder letters are sent out as required to keep both patients and physicians informed of any follow up recommendations.
We are proud to have these two navigators working together to assist in patient care coordination and we are working to continually improve mammography experience.
