Paul Korth, CEO of Cookeville Regional Medical Center, has been appointed as a delegate of Regional Policy Board 4 (Southeastern United States) with the American Hospital Association (AHA). The AHA is the national organization that represents hospitals and health care networks throughout the U.S. and serves their patients and communities through advocacy, representation, knowledge exchange, and thought leadership. The AHA uses analysis and recommendations from the AHA Regional Policy Board in policy deliberations. The appointment is effective through 2025.
“I am honored to represent our area’s hospitals,” said Korth. “Serving on the Regional Policy Board allows me the opportunity to weigh in on policy issues that affect the care and health of communities in our region.”
“Paul is a dynamic leader, whose passion for health care, communities, employees and patients is critical as we work to create policies to address the specific challenges in the delivery of health care,” said Rebecca Jolley, Regional Executive, Region 4, American Hospital Association. “Paul will bring unique and essential perspectives to the Regional Policy Board as we work to advance the health of individuals and communities.”
Korth also serves on the Tennessee Hospital Association Board of Directors, including one year as the Chair, and the Tennessee Perinatal Advisory Committee. Previously Korth was appointed by Governor Bill Lee to serve two terms on the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency Board of Directors.
