LPN/CMA

Type: PRN
Education: CMA - High School Diploma. Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants. Certification as medical assistant preferred. Participation in continuing education programs, in-services/workshops is required as based on departmental needs. LPN:Graduate of a school of practical Nursing. Current Tennessee LPN license
Hours: 7a-7p
Experience: CMA - Front and/or back office experience in medical setting is required as well as public relations. Previous employment in medical office clinic or setting is required with at least 3 months experience. LPN: Experience of at least 6 months in a physician’s office setting or 2 yrs experience in direct patient care at a medical facility.
Skills: CMA - Must possess knowledge of general office procedures, typing skills, knowledge of office equipment and supplies; proficient knowledge of computers and various software. Must have a complete command of medical terminology, the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, manage multiple tasks and function independently. Must be able to adapt to changing work environment and work well under pressure. LPN - BLS required at hire or during orientation

CMA -  This position is responsible for certified medical office assistant duties with the physician office.

LPN - This position is responsible for providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; observes, assesses, treats and cares for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process.  Oversees the work of non-licensed personnel.

Nurse Practitioner

Type: PRN
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Master’s program or Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies. Evidence of continuing education. Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and RN or Physician Assistant. Must hold a National Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area.
Hours: Varied
Experience: Minimum one year experience preferred.
Skills: Advanced Practice Nursing Skills.

Under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed physician, the Advanced Nurse Clinician/Physician Assistant assesses patients’ Medical/surgical conditions, administers treatments under physician orders or in conformity with usual practice, advises and counsels patients or their legal guardian of patient problems.  This privilege does not include the practice of obtaining informed consent.  Demonstrates  knowledge of the psychosocial needs, clinical assessment implications, and/or consequences of technology.
