Education: High School Education or GED equivalent. CHAA Certification for Registration Room and Bed Coordinator II.
Hours: Varied
Experience: Knowledgeable with insurance companies/coverage, previous background in clerical setting.
Skills: Experience and basic knowledge of computer software. Must possess ability to work well under pressure, to function independently and dependently, and flexible in applying knowledge to a variety of situations. Must possess good customer relations and tact.
Description:

 

This position is responsible primarily for the registration of Labor & Delivery admissions, Direct admissions, and any other patient admissions or status changes that may occur during a patient’s visit. This position is knowledgeable with various registration processes with capability of completing different types of registration when necessary.

Registration Representative

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Hours: Varied
Experience: Previous experience preferred in a medical setting involving clerical and basic medical terminology. Minimum of one year of clerical office setting required.
Skills: Knowledge of general office machines, procedure and computers.
Description:

This position is responsible for serving as first impression of the hospital while initiating the registration processes in a professional and consistent manner by assuring prompt and proper treatment for all patients.  This position will gather patient demographic and insurance information along with discussing the patient’s financial responsibilities when appropriate. Will perform certain functions on the front end of the registration process, which decreases the wait time for patients and hospital departments
