Plumber

Type: FT
Education: High School diploma required. Trade school with courses in Plumbing, A/C, refrigeration, electrical preferred.

Experience: Five years of plumbing school or five year of OJT. Experience in another health care facility desirable. Computer experience needed. Must have good working knowledge of current city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. Must have good working knowledge of current city, state, federal, NFPA and JCAHO regulations relating applicable codes. Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manufacturer's manuals, troubleshooting charts and procedures.
Description:

This position is responsible for the upkeep of all plumbing systems consistent with the Medical Center’s strategies and objectives. Included: Assist the Maintenance Supervisor of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. Installation, alteration, relocation, replacement, troubleshoot, design, preventive maintenance, repair and service to all plumbing systems.
Performs as lead plumber, performs boiler watch, safety surveillance, and helps other trades as needed/requested. Maintains complete safety records. Maintains excellent working relationships with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the Department Director, Supervisor, and department staff. Must keep all certifications current. Other duties as assigned.

Construction Tech

Type: FT
Education: High School Diploma required. Contractor's license preferred.
Hours: Days, Varied
Experience: Three years previous experience in building trades required. Basic knowledge of construction codes required. Must have good working knowledge of current city, state, federal, NFPA and JCAHO regulations relating applicable codes. Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manufacturer’s manuals, troubleshooting charts and procedures. Must possess the ability to work with weights and measures (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using numbers, common fractions and decimals.) Must have good working knowledge of current city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes.
Description:

This position is responsible for the construction, repair, remodel and/or maintenance of the hospital campus consistent with the Medical Center's strategies and objectives. Included: Assist the Security/Supervisor of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and JCAHO regulations relating applicable codes. According to assignment, job responsibilities may include: demolition duties, repair/upkeep and remodel of existing structures, construction of new structures, and maintenance of interior surfaces (floors, walls, ceiling), preparing surfaces and applying floor tile, paint, varnish, vinyl or ceiling tile as appropriate in all areas of the hospital complex and off site locations of CRMC. According to assignment, may also include: installing, maintaining and repairing the lock/key system including: doors, locks, door locks, panic hardware, drug boxes, door closures, file cabinets, desks, lockers, etc. May coordinate specific construction projects of the campus including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems and assist in the development, implementation and modification of specific construction projects if assigned. Performs boiler watch and safety surveillance Maintains complete safety records. Maintains excellent working relationships with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the Department Director, Supervisor, and department staff.

Maintenance Tech

Type: FT
Education: High School Diploma Required. Industrial maintenance course preferred. If designated and assigned by director a valid driver’s license would be required which includes: • No more than 2 Minor Violation or at fault accident in the past 12 mos. or 3 in the past 3 years. • No major violations I the past 3 years • No suspended, expired, revoked, or other status indicating the driver is not licensed. • No inexperienced drivers having less than 3 years operating the vehicle type they are driving.

Experience: Three years previous experience in healthcare preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical systems preferred. Must possess good mechanical skills and good judgement abilities. Must maintain aggressiveness in completing assigned job requirements
Description:

This position is responsible for Facility upkeep including but not limited to equipment repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of hospital campus consistent with the Medical Center's strategies and objectives including: Assist supervisor/Director of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. According to assignment, job responsibilities may include; boiler watch, powerhouse equipment monitoring and equipment management, plumbing repair, light bulb replacement, lighting ballast replacement, assisting with inclement weather conditions, TV calls, HVAC calls, PEVCO management, Fire alarm response, furniture repair, maintain knowledge of BAS, kitchen equipment, preventative maintenance of specified utility systems. Maintains excellent working relationship with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the department director, supervisor and department staff. Other duties as assigned.

 

Maintenance Supervisor

Type: FT
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required plus additional Engineering credits preferred. Field-of-Expertise: Engineering.
Hours: Days, Varied
Experience: Must have minimum of five years previous supervisory experience. Must have previous experience in construction and facilities management. Must have good working knowledge of current NFPA Codes and TJC Regulations Must have previous experience in construction and facilities management.
Description:

This position is responsible for directing and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance department consistent with the Medical Center’s strategies and objectives. Included: Assist the Director of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with TJC, federal, state and local regulations; development, implementation and administration of departmental policies and procedures and standards of work.

Groundskeeper (Seasonal)

Education: High School Graduate Required

Included: Assist the Plant Facilities Supervisor of Plant Facilities in meeting compliance with city, state, federal, NFPA and TJC regulations relating applicable codes. Provides a safe and attractive environment by maintaining all grounds, shrubs, trees and flowers. Performs minor repair to the outside of the facility. Helps other trades as needed/requested. Coordinates and maintenance records for the fleet of vehicles. Maintains excellent working relationships with other hospital departments. Supports and carries out the hospital policies and procedures. Supports the Department Director, Supervisor, and department staff. Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

Safety Manager

Type: FT
Education: College degree preferred, high school diploma required
Hours: TBD
Experience: One to three years related experience required. Training in hospital security, safety, and loss prevention. Ability to effectively supervise and direct the work of others. Must be familiar with TJC, OSHA, EPA and other licensing/accreditation agencies
