Cashier

Type: PRN
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Hours: Varied
Experience: Minimum of two years general office experience. Previous Healthcare Billing/Collection experience a plus. Knowledge of cash controls and previous cash posting experience a plus.
Skills: Knowledge of general office procedures, proficient computer skills in Windows 95 or greater. Must have sound numerical proficiency ‘ten key’. Must possess the ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines, production to handle large volume of claims without diminishing required accuracy. Must be self-sufficient and reliant. Must be flexible and willing to accept and adapt to constant change due to changes enforced upon providers by insurance carrier changes and regulations and changes in contract negotiations between provider and insurance companies.
Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of cash collections accurately while maintaining the highest standards of internal control. This may include one or all of the following: cashier, preparing deposits, posting cash receipts and adjustments, researching payments and credit balances. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisor (Point of Service & Self Pay)

Type: FT
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College or Business School preferred.
Hours: Varied
Experience: Minimum five to seven years’ experience in a healthcare finance environment. Six months to three years coordinator/supervisor experience preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of general office procedures, proficient computer skills in Windows 95 or greater, Excel, and Microsoft word. Must possess the ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines. Must be self sufficient and reliant. Must be flexible, and acceptable to change to meet the departmental goals. Must have good communication skills, demonstrate personal motivational traits, professionalism and trustworthiness. Demonstrates good customer service and leadership skills.

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of each respective team to ensure that adequate training exists for each employee to do his/her job in an efficient manner and to provide assistance to that team. This position will report to a PFS manager and work with that manager to ensure smooth operations within the department. The team leader will also promote cohesiveness among teams and between teams. The team leader will also develop action plans and make recommendations to management in order to have a positive impact on departmental and facility wide operations.
