RN/LPN

Education: RN: Graduate of a school of professional nursing. Current Tennessee RN license. (See Unit Specific Requirements) LPN: Graduate of a school of practical Nursing. Current Tennessee LPN license. (See Unit Specific Requirements)
Hours: 7a-7p
Experience: RN:Experience in acute care nursing preferred. (See Unit Specific Requirements) LPN: Experience in acute care nursing and in the specialty in the department of hire preferred (See Unit Specific Requirements)
Skills: RN:BLS upon hire or during orientation (See Unit Specific Requirements) LPN: BLS required at hire or during orientation, IV Qualified. (See Unit Specific Requirements)
Description:

RN: This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; assesses, treats and care for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.  Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel. 

LPN:This position is responsible for providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; observes, assesses, treats and cares for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process.  Oversees the work of non-licensed personnel.

PCA

Type: FT
Education: High school graduate (or have minimum of GED). CNA Certification preferred. CMA required at Inpatient Rehab.
Hours: 6a-6p
Experience: Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred. No minimum required.
Skills: Able to read and write English. Clinical skills to perform basic nursing care. BLS current or within first 90 days of employment

This position is responsible for performing basic and advanced Nursing Assistant skills under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN according to established policies, procedures, and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center. 

Type: PRN
