Phlebotomist (CMA)

Type: FT
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. CMA is required. CRMG Phlebotomist II Current registry as a certified/registered phlebotomist from a national board of certification (ASCP, AMT, CAP, NCA) is preferred.
Hours: 8a-5p M-F
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience under a qualified director is preferred.
Skills: BLS required at hire or during orientation. Problem resolution, continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, and data result documentation. Proficiency in applying clerical principles, concepts, and techniques; in verbal & written communication that are central to the discipline.
Description:

This position is responsible for performing & documenting phlebotomy procedures, bleeding times; receiving, processing, recording, & distributing specimens; & for performing secretarial duties for the laboratory areas on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patient specimens to obtain samples for use in laboratory testing in accordance with CRMC & profession standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance & improvement; providing rapid & accurate collection of specimens & technical assistance; relaying & documenting information appropriately; & models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.

Patient Representative

Type: FT
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Hours: 8a-5p
Experience: Required experience of at least 6 months in a medical front office setting.
Skills: Required: Knowledge of general office equipment including phone, fax, copier, computer. Excellent telephone etiquette. Good computer skills with knowledge of computerized scheduling, Knowledge of insurance carriers. Keyboarding skills, Basic understanding medical terminology. Strong Interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task.
Description:

This position is responsible for serving as the first impression of the physician office while initiating the registration processes in a professional, courteous and consistent manner by assuring prompt and proper treatment for all patients. 

LPN

Type: FT
Education: Graduate of a school of practical Nursing. Current Tennessee LPN license.
Hours: 8a-5p
Experience: Experience of at least 6 months in a physician’s office setting or 2 yrs experience in direct patient care at a medical facility.
Skills: BLS required at hire or during orientation.
Description:

 

This position is responsible for providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; observes, assesses, treats and cares for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process.  Oversees the work of non-licensed personnel. 

Scribe(CMA or LPN)

Type: FT
Education: CMA: High School Diploma. Proof of CMA Certification required. LPN: High School Diploma. Licensed as a Practical Nurse with a Tennessee license required. Participation in continuing education programs, in-services/workshops is required as based on departmental needs.
Hours: 8a-5p, M-F
Experience: CMA: Prior experience in a healthcare setting helpful, but not required. LPN: Prior experience in a healthcare setting helpful, but not required.

This position is responsible for facilitating patient flow in the office setting to ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Assists medical provider by accompanying them to record details into the Electronic Medical Record.  

 

LPN:
This position is responsible for facilitating patient flow in the office setting to ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Assists medical provider by accompanying them to record details into the Electronic Medical Record.  When needed will be asked to work in the role of LPN.
