Switchboard Operator Team Lead
This position for assisting in the daily operations of the Communications Department to ensure adequate training exists for each employee to do his/her job in an efficient manner and to provide assistance to the team. This position will be the primary contact for the physician and hospital department on-call schedules. This position will report directly to the ER Admitting Supervisor and will work to ensure smooth operations within the Communications area. This position will also assist in the development of action plans and make recommendations in order to make a positive impact on departmental and hospital initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
This position is responsible for operating an efficient and effective first impression of the hospital by routing both internal and external phone calls without delay. This position is also responsible for announcing alerts and codes overhead throughout the facility, and paging physicians and other medical staff during emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.
