Cookeville Regional Medical Center’s Sports Medicine begins its summer athlete strength training program starting Monday, April 29, for middle and high school students.
For middle or high school students who are interested in improving weight lifting form to maximize strength gains during weight room training, this program is for them.
“We are there to focus on giving students the foundation to strength train and be successful as they continue their journey as an athlete,” said David Maldonado, DPT, ATC/L, SCS, PES, Sports Physical Therapist/Athletic Trainer.
The athlete strength training sessions include one-on-one body mechanics and mobility assessments, as well as exercises and progressions that address deficiencies to allow lift gains to be as effective as possible.
They are every Monday and Wednesday starting April 29 and cost $15 per session.
