Cookeville Regional Medical Center was recently designated an Aetna Institutes of Quality (IOQ) for Orthopedic Care, Cardiac Care, and others.

Recognized systems have met standards of cost and efficiency, achieved a high number of procedures, demonstrated high success rates, and had low complication rates.

  • Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRM) was one of five in Tennessee for spine designation and one of four for total joint replacement designation.
  • Aetna’s Institute of Quality for Cardiac Care designation listed CRMC as one of six medical facilities in Tennessee for cardiac medical intervention, one of three in Tennessee for cardiac rhythm, and one of five in Tennessee for cardiac surgery.
  • Aetna Institute of Quality for bariatric surgery listed Cookeville Regional as one of 11 medical facilities designated.

“As the Aetna Institutes Programs say, exceptional care leads to better results. Here at CRMC, we believe in the same vision, providing our community with exceptional care every day,” said Buffy Key, CEO at CRMC.  “Our teams here work hard to deliver that care to the people in our area. This designation shows that their continuous efforts and performance create great outcomes for our patients.”
