Description:

This position is responsible for performing & documenting phlebotomy procedures, bleeding times; receiving, processing, recording, & distributing specimens; & for performing secretarial duties for the laboratory areas on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patient specimens to obtain samples for use in laboratory testing in accordance with CRMC & profession standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance & improvement; providing rapid & accurate collection of specimens & technical assistance; relaying & documenting information appropriately; & models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.

EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Registry from a national board of certification (C.A.P., N.C.A) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year experience under a qualified director is preferred.

SKILLS: Problem resolution, continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, and data result documentation. Proficiency in applying clerical principles, concepts, and techniques; in verbal & written communication that are central to the discipline
