Data Clerk Processor

This position is responsible for registering, receiving, processing, recording, & distributing specimens & test requests; & for performing secretarial duties for the laboratory areas on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patient specimens for use in laboratory testing in accordance with CRMC & profession standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance & improvement; providing rapid & accurate dispersement of specimens & assistance; relaying & documenting information appropriately; & models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.

  1. EDUCATION:  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one (1) year experience under a qualified director is preferred.
  3. SKILLS:  Problem resolution, continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, and data result documentation.  Proficiency in applying clerical principles, concepts, and techniques; in verbal & written communication that are central to the discipline.

Phlebotomist

This position is responsible for performing & documenting phlebotomy procedures, bleeding times; receiving, processing, recording, & distributing specimens; & for performing secretarial duties for the laboratory areas on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patient specimens to obtain samples for use in laboratory testing in accordance with CRMC & profession standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance & improvement; providing rapid & accurate collection of specimens & technical assistance; relaying & documenting information appropriately; & models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.

  1. EDUCATION:  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  Registry from a national board of certification (C.A.P., N.C.A) is preferred.  
  2. EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one (1) year experience under a qualified director is preferred.
  3. SKILLS:  Problem resolution, continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, and data result documentation.  Proficiency in applying clerical principles, concepts, and techniques; in verbal & written communication that are central to the discipline

This position is responsible for performing & evaluating the validity of technical laboratory procedures in all rotated clinical areas on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patient specimens to obtain data for use in the diagnosis & treatment of disease in accordance with CRMC & profession standards of practice; maintaining all aspects of quality assurance, control, & improvement; providing rapid & accurate reporting of results, preventative maintenance, & technical assistance; relaying & documenting all alert (critical) values appropriately; & models appropriate behavior as exemplified in the CRMC Mission and Values statement.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. EDUCATION:  A bachelor's degree in medical technology with the completion of an NCCLS or AMA approved medical technology training program is preferred.  Licensure from the State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Board as a generalist medical technologist (M.T.).  Registry as a medical technologist from a national board of certification [C.A.P., M.T. (A.S.C.P.); A.M.T.; N.C.A, C.L.S.], is preferred.

 

  1. EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one (1) year experience under a qualified director is preferred.

 

  1. SKILLS:  Problem resolution, continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, quality control, and proficiency testing.  Data result reporting.  Proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques; in verbal, written communication, and calculations that are central to the professional discipline.

 

Medical Lab Technician
