Structural Heart Coordinator Apply

This position is responsible for: Providing leadership and facilitating all activities and services across the health system regarding care for patients with structural heart disorders. The goal of the Structural Heart Nurse coordinator is to promote seamless care from referral to discharge as well as follow up. The Structural heart nurse coordinator works in direct collaboration with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners and other team members; participates in the ongoing assessment of Structural Heart patients (TAVR, MitraClip, Left Atrial Appendage Closure) pre and post op; conferences frequently with the supervising cardiologist, cardiac surgeons and nurse practitioners and participates in clinical decisions regarding the management of in-patients and out-patients; provides and promotes patient education; promotes and encourages nursing staff education and involvement; and serves as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, nursing staff and referring facilities to promote quality and continuity of patient care.



A. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with Current State of Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license required B. ACLS certification upon hire or within 1 year of hire                                                                                            C. BLS certification upon hire or within 1 year of hire 


A. 3 Years Cardiac Nursing experience required                                                                                                           B. 2 Years Critical Care experienced preferred                                                                                                            C. TAVR or Structural Heart Coordinator experience preferred 


A. Must have the ability to work, plan, problem solve                                                                                                   B. Must possess strong clinical assessment, physical, psychosocial, and critical thinking skills.                    C. Must possess the ability to take evidenced-based guidelines and translate to practice.                               D. Must have excellent oral and written communication, and negotiation skills.                                               E. Must be proactive and motivated with a high customer satisfaction as a goal.                                               F. Must be effective both as a team member and leader.                                                                                           G. Must possess a working knowledge of the following Microsoft computer software including: Word, Excel, and Power Point
